Question CL 2 y.o. Saddlebred colt in Eugene, Oregon needs an upgrade (he's FREE)

    The ad says:
"2yr old Saddle bred colt, not sound due to a shoulder injury as a foal. Very sweet temperament. Free to good home. Owner's health forces herd reduction. Email for more info."

He looks like a baby, but check out the tail?

Wow, that is quite the tail, cute little horse! Needs brain surgery, though!

    He looks like a sweetie.

I'll bet the shoulder problem could be remedied with the right vet.

"Free to good home"...that's magic to a kill buyers ears.

Hopefully this cute guy really does find a good home for real.

Does not look good for this guy, no matter how nice he looks.

What part of "be responsible and put the unsound skinny horse down" does the owner not understand? Why ask others to do what the owner is too chicken to do? The kill buys will haul him to Canada or Mexico and he'll die with a dead bolt and have his throat cut and be slung up by a hind leg to bleed out. After the crowded and scary ride in a cattle truck to the slaughter house. During which he could fall and break a leg or be trampled.

Owners need to step up and do the right thing if they cannot keep a horse.

Am I the only one who thought that was a bizarre picture?

Nope, it looked like a photo shopped horse! Tiny dainty head, skinny and ribby with a full thick tail! He looked odd to me too....I do not need a cute colt, repeat-I do NOT need a cute seriously needy project.... Ugh

The ad has been deleted, but here's a BB post that has the picture, for those who are curious:
