    You have NO idea how right I hope you are. I have one due 5/20 (my only one this year) & I know it's chestnut but it had better be a filly. If not, I am putting it back. Mom is 23 & I'd really like a daughter to keep. It does seem to be a filly year though. Good becasue I am batting 100% colts so far.

    Bonnie is now getting up and down ... she's rolling. Why is she doing this...is this normal?????

    She already passed the placenta... why is she rolling??????

    SPACELY ... I feel in my bones you will have a filly. Hmmmm. Maybe I could make a living as an animal communicator>


    Ok. Going to bed ... waiting for calls. Hopefully pictures to share tomorrow.

    Yes, it's normal for Mum to be kind of colicy... we watch them... but she is still having contractions and hell, she's SORE. Do you know how BIG that thing she just pushed out was?

    We often give a dose of banamine if they're really uncomfortable.

    Congrats. Do you prefer Grammy? Grandma? Meemaw?

    And yes, you'd BETTER be right about the year of the filly. I'm in the last few weeks, and am very tired of the filly dance, but WANT ONE worse than I've ever wanted...

    Omom, that is perfectly normal. Her uterus is contracting back down. Just watch her & give Banamine if she's really painful. I usually give Banamine anyhow. Depends on the mare.

    I hope your prediction is right. I hope, I hope, I hope.... Another month or so & we'll find out.

    Just got up to do morning chores. Then yes, I'm going right back to bed. I'm pooped.

    Carosello ... pictures will be forthcoming this morning. When I went to bed last night the last info I had was that the baby was "loping" (*giggle*) around the stall last night. And I DO know how to follow directions. Mama was given invermectin before baby nursed. I'll e-mail you in a few minutes.

    Vet will be by this morning to check baby. Around 10:00 - 10:30.

    All participants agreed last night that her barn name will be April. Working on her proper name. First suggestion last night was
    "Wild Heart" ... which is ok. But not great. Her Daddy is Wild Card. And SURPRISE!!!!! She's a chestnut!!!!!
