    Cool Godzilla!

Anyone else looking forward to this next year? It looks to be a proper Godzilla film with monster battles and massive destruction. Just what I want to see after the 1998 disaster.

To be a 'real' Godzilla film it must rubber suits, poorly dubbed Japanese, breathing fire while the back fins light up with electricity and of course the classic Godzilla roar.
Saw the trailer and it looks like just another monster film
    Not impressed.

I'm excited about seeing it. The one with Mathew Broderick was awful. I love sci-fi creature feature movies.

There's a movie called "Big Ass Spider!" coming out soon that you might like. It's a spoof of giant monster movies - while being a giant monster movie - and it looks hilarious.

Found some pictures of Godzilla 2014 on IMDB. Brian Cranston is in it (really? after Breaking Bad?); guess he wanted a change.

We are! And, since it's supposed to come out right around my son's 12th birthday, that will be the party...taking a bunch of boys to go see it in a theater.

    Here is Godzilla!

We get the trailer in a few days. Should be epic. The viral marketing has started already. Something about a military organization known as MUTO Research and sites all over the world with huge sinkholes and unexplained earthquakes.

I love Godzilla! He's one of my favorite actors & I have a great many of his movies, including the first one with Raymond Burr - before Godzilla had his teeth fixed. Didn't much like the one with Matthew Broderick - they starved him down to skinny.

It actually looks pretty decent, I was very impressed by the trailer. I mean I'm not expecting some deep story line when I go into movies like this. I go in expecting epic battles and freaking cool monsters. Thats is why I couldn't understand all the hatred towards Pacific Rim-it was monsters! And robots! Didn't think it was going to be more than that so I was not disappointed.

Please be good, please be good, please be good!

The trailer looks great, and I squeeeeeed at the end. They got a good roar!

Truthfully I've loved all the Godzilla's, but love one that features new tech with old soul.

Edited to add: I share these movies with my Dad, a very fond childhood memory, and his ringtone on my phone is Godzilla's classic roar!

You can pick up Godzilla VS Biollante on Blu-Ray/DVD for a few bucks at Best Buy. I highly recommend it as it's one of the best Heisei Godzilla movies. You can also get the Gamera trilogy on Blu-Ray for around $8 at WalMart.

Looks like the monsters in this film are all man-made experiments except Godzilla and escaped from a government research facility belonging to this MUTO Research group. There's a few shots in the trailer of some underground storage area with big vaults where these things were kept and burrowed their way out.

When I was a kid & the original G'zila came out I was hooked.
Saw them all: Gamera, Rodan, Mothra with his twin groupies.....

    Lex:
Your underground facility sounds a lot like the underground Monster Island lair I remember in one of the Godzilla Vs movies.

Big G is gonna have a lot more stompin' to do to destroy present-day Tokyo!

Big Ass Spider! comes out tomorrow on DVD and Blu-Ray. Probably on Netflix and Amazon Instant Video as well.

    The first trailer is out...

Looks awesome. Godzilla is the largest he's ever been. Looks like much of the monster damage is caused by the flying human-made monsters and not Godzilla but he will have his own bit of destruction in the film.
