Default horse/property auction in Chesterland, Ohio. Any info?

Lovely equestrian property being listed at auction, and the website says horses will be sold at the live auction. Anyone know anything about the horses? It says 22 TBs, but no more data on ages/breeding/etc. Anyone have any info? I don't want to drive 3+ hrs w/ a trailer if there's nothing of interest. But I'm always looking for a good deal

Maybe somebody on the racing forum could help, looks like the horses listed are weanlings, all by the same stud ( not familiar with him) out of TB mares with familiar names in the pedigree and a handful of active racers, maybe some broodies. Somebody with the time could dig a little more or contact the suction company for a complete listing. You may have to Pre register to bid, even at the live auction.

Was it one of those multi discipline Equestrian Centers leasing stalls to trainers to offset the in house TB breeding and racing operation?

No, it was one of the nicest private facilities in all of Ohio. It is (I guess soon to be was) Mrs Quentin Alexanders place.

Page 4 of this documents lists the horses names and ages and breeding. Majority are young horses

Gorgeous property right around the corner from me.
I have no knowledge of the specific horses, other than watching the weanlings cavort or nap in the lush pastures.
We certainly hope a horse person purchases the property.

I dug around a little bit and only found this, which doesn't add much: http://horsetalk.co.nz/2013/10/10/th...estate-market/

Fingers crossed it stays in the horse industry!

Lovely! Going out for a megabucks ticket.

But, hafta say, the theme music for that video didn't do much to sell the place!!

I do hope she is well enough at age 84.

This lady has owned very nice Hunters and Ponies made available to recognizable names, a la Betsy Parker. Best wishes to her as she faces life's changes.

    still a shock.
