    Nice! I was told once in a jumping lesson that if your horse suddenly disappeared, you want to hit the ground standing up and balanced. I think he would do that.

    Just shows that bit and reins are NOT needed for stopping...training is!

    Reining is fun, that is why.

    Notice there is no fence in that arena.

    You can ride a well trained reining horse anywhere just as he is stopping there.

    Reining has come a long way, yes it has, from it's start with horses sky-grazing with open mouths in their stops decades ago.

    I once had that happen to me. But that was many decades ago and I think it was a fluke that I was that balanced. (The men I was riding with asked me if I was a gymnast because I stuck the landing. lol)
