DQ here... I wear makeup, but that's just so that I don't hate myself SO much in pictures. I don't go overboard, just eyeliner, mascara, a little bit of shadow and done. I've seen some REALLY done up people and some that don't wear a thing. It won't affect your score, and as long as you don't go all Real Housewives of New Jersey, nobody will probably even notice.
I would recommend that you buy SWEATPROOF (not waterproof) eye business, as nothing stinks more than racoon eyes in pictures or having eyeliner sweat into your eye as you come down center line. Ask me how I know!
Choo choo another makeup thread. . . I don't leave the house without makeup, so I of course wear it in dressage. Whatever makes you feel comfortable is what you should do. The problem with makeup is that more is not better! Makeup should enhance your assets and discretely cover the imperfections, not make you look like a rodeo clown. Same goes for perfume, especially perfume.

I wear a little bit of light, neutral makeup (little eyeliner, little mascara, light brown eye shadow if anything, etc.)every day anyway, so I of course have it on at shows but I don't do anything different for dressage and I don't know anybody who puts makeup on just for the sole purpose of dressage. If yours is done well and light, it won't matter so if it makes you feel better, go for it!
No way -- I am at a horse show, for goodness sake! I rarely wear makeup anyway, but I stare boggle-eyed at the crazy makeup people. I guess if it makes you feel better about yourself in some way, but I'm pretty sure everyone else is checking out the horse.
I think this is about you - if it makes you feel more confident, go right ahead. Having scribed a fair amount I can safely say I doubt the judge will notice one way or the other. They aren't looking at your face.
Yes, but a swipe of lipstick (NOT bright red!) is the last thing I do before getting on. I know how rushed I am by whether or not I had time to get any put on or not...So about half the time I don't wear any! ;-
