Default Anyone in Georgia? Free TBX mare needs upgrade

Their feeding scheme makes no sense to me, but she might have heaves or dust issues if she needs constant turnout. She looks like a nice mare.

    In case it goes *poof*

"Sugar is a SOUND 25 yr old mare. 16H bay.She has good feet and no mechanical problems. She has been trail ridden with no issues. She is pretty much fearless. She must go to a home in Florida or S. GA where she can eat fresh grass all year long. She does well on grass, not hay, AllStock non-rich feed and crushed oats. Richer, better feeds give her diahrrea. We have been experimenting with this for some time and now we have the right formula.

770 area code is more north GA than 229 sw and 912 se GA area codes, but I did email the CL ad and tell the owner about Coth giveaways forum.

A few years ago, someone put a 25 yoa QH gelding on CL north of Atlanta, and someone put it on Coth to ridicule her, and 2jakes told me about it, and I emailed the woman and she put him on Coth and a Cother in Louisiana took him. A miracle!

Thanks for posting this and for not ridiculing the owner. As usual, I suggested to owner that Euthing is better than giving away to someone who will either starve or sell at auction to slaughter.

That's great! Thank you. If she comes up on the giveaways, I should delete this.

The "must have fresh grass year round" is pretty unrealistic. Even in Florida, at least the north and central parts, you don't have fresh grass all year round.

Very true. I wonder what's wrong with the horse? Hay wetted down might work. Or a number of bagged hay products. If she's really that gentle, she might make a lovely mare for someone. I wish I could check her out, but she is too far away and we don't have the room.

The "formula" doesn't look so ideal in those photos. Hope this mare is ok!
