Default Sending care packages to the troops

I've been thinking that the horse show I wanted to do at the end of the month might not happen, because I could use the money I would be spending on it to send a care package (or packages) overseas to the troops. Just wondering who's done this before, what organization did you do it through, what did you send, etc. I want to feel like I'm doing something to support them.

I use adoptussoldier. They match you up with someone. It's very nice! I've had 2 soldiers, one who has communicated with me, one who didn't.

I also have a friend serving in bagram who I send things to.

Mostly they tell me they have most amenities, but like getting condiments, boxed foods, water flavoring ( kook aid, crystal lite, those drops) and junk food. Also, baby wipes, Clorox wipes, deodorant, etc.
