I've nothing to add as far as names go (I'm rooting for Penny or Dolly), but just to say thank you for the smile! Congrats on your new girl.

I can always count on The Menagerie on COTH to cheer me up when having a crappy day at work.

Ahh! I am so glad you took her! I currently have two little kitten monsters that a co-worker plucked from her parking lot. I named them "Captain" and "Crackers" as my Irish co-worker calls all the naughty dogs Captain Crackers. LOL

Still haven't decided on a name. Usually one just fits...so I'm still working on it. I still really like Penny, so we'll see. She's so sweet, I wish I could make her a house cat.

So far, Miss Lily is still one very pissed off garage/barn cat. Lily did make it to the garage door today but has been hanging out in her territory behind the barn driveway gate.

Penny it is. And, much to my relief, Miss Lily has decided that she's hungry and will stop avoiding the garage (which is where the wee kitty is, in a crate). I usually crate for at least 2 weeks before carefully allowing some freedom with a new cat. Vet next week for first shots.

Well, what is the variation on the old saying, "Take care of the pennies and the pounds (dollars?) will take care of themselves"?

LauraKY, you are certainly taking very good care of this Penny!

And I'm glad Miss Lily has come around.

A 'dilute tortie' to be exact! Beautiful kitten. And love the name Penny for her.

We have a dilute tortie named Abby who we adopted from a local rescue. She looks very much like your Penny.

Good on your for bringing Penny home with you. Good Karma is yours for sure.

Dollar Store Kitty is no longer cheap. $91 and counting as a matter of fact. She's adorable, playful, super snugly and friendly. The vet aged her at right around 3 months, so we'll wait for another month to spay.

She's turning into quite the hunter too. She's still restricted to the garage...too small to be out with the coyotes and hawks we have around here, but she caught a frog in the garage. Go Penny!

More photos later when I finally get the camera to sync with the new computer.
