Default Craigslist pony in shocking condition near Knoxville, Tennessee

I know craigslist is a unending source of animals that are in trouble, and god knows that we've seen some of the worst cases here lately, but the photos of this pony really shocked me. Here's the text ad and link to photos:

Can you imagine what she looks like underneath that saddle? I can, unfortunately, imagine this and it is really, really bad...

Unfortunately, I'm quite far away and in not at all in a position to take on a pony myself right now, anyway, due a recently reduced income and some huge vet bills incurred recently, and the promise of having to spend much more in the near future, just to take care of what animals I have right now. However, I am good for a small amount towards her purchase price or vet expenses for anyone that can help her!

    Oh no.

I hope someone picks up the pony and that people don't contact the sellers to berate them. That NEVER helps the pony get to a better home.

I'm in too for paypalling. And I agree, do not call and yell at the owner. It only serves to make people hostile and angry and not cooperate in saving pony.

With that coat and mane, that pony should be very cute when it's taken care of.

I'm in for a dribble. The saddle doesn't even begin to camouflage how thin that pony is does it?

Oh god, that is absolutely hideous. It almost makes me more angry when a pony looks like that because most of them will get fat even looking at grass. I am completely broke right now but I may be able to help out with a dribble at the end of the month when I get my first paycheck from my new job... Won't help with getting her and transporting her but maybe it can help with the rehab.

Oh my God. Poor thing. Well, we saved the one in Kansas -- I'm in for some money if someone can go get her! Are there any COTHers in TN who need a pony?

Well I talked to the girl and she said she feels absolutely terrible for her but that her husband may or may not be able to keep his national guard station in TN so at most she can only promise a home for a few weeks. We're about an hour and a half away and could possibly provide a temporary situation but that would be all

I do have one other person who keeps her two horses on the same farm that might be interested as she just took two "free" horses (one lame and one greener than grass) and would like a pony for her son eventually, I don't think she was wanting to add to the vet bills on the other two but might be willing anyway. They have the finances and space but no real horse knowledge but are learning quickly and have original girl I posted about, and myself/ the vet/ and the farrier to hep her out.

Makes me so sad give her a blaze and she's a mini version of my horse Honey
