Awesome. All proceeds go to the Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue. And yes, there are very active and responsible guinea pig advocates and rescues out there, so before you buy in a petstore, think of the poor breeder pigs doomed to live a miserable life in a tiny Tupperware box. Instead, adopt! You'll get a guaranteed healthy pig and a guaranteed sex of the pig (no "oops" from so many store bought pigs).
You guys are going to *love* this story. I had a friend who did guinea pig rescue & she once pig-sat for a fellow cavy fancier. Woman arrived with pig & a large book on Baroque art. She left specific instructions that book was to be propped by cage & opened to pg xx for a minimum of time each day, then switched to pg xy, then pg xz...b/c pig enjoyed looking at pics of Baroque art.
I am not sure how this woman discovered that pig preferred Baroque art. She claimed that pig did not like any other type. Screw those impressionists.
