Default Maiden Stakes Race - For SHIRES!

Well, being 6'6", looks like I can now be a jockey.

    Video at the link.

LOL! DH's mother broke his heart at the age of 7 when she told him he was already too tall to be a jockey. He's 6'5 now and will be ecstatic at his new career opportunities!

I think a friend of mine is about to start a campaign for equal rights for heavies after she saw this article the other day. She has a Clydesdale, and she's already miffed there isn't a class for her at HOYS whereas there is for Shires. Discrimination

Probably not a lot of demand for Shire starting gates yet, but that hardly seemed fair. A steeplechase start for a Quarter Horse race!
