Default So what can I do with a Mini?

Ha! I know whats running through your heads right now and no I'm not some crazy person.

Have a minature Australian horse (not papered so who knows) and I plan on breaking him to drive.

Never done this before (but will be working with a trainer on the whole driving thing and I'm an experienced horse person).

My question is what events are there for mini's I'm interested in doing something like competitive trail riding but with driving...is there such a thing? Is this something thats possible with a mini?

    Would love to hear idea's
I have horse to sell to you. Horse good for riding. Can pull cart. Horse good size. Eats carrots and apples. Likes attention. Move head to music. No like opera! You like you buy.

You have a strong mini contingent in the NW driving in combined training. Check with Merridy Hance (ADS)

Ditto with Merridy -- she is wonderful. Another one is Dorothy Whiteman in Elma, a wonderful trainer for general driving, combined driving and breed show.

Be sure to check into the driving forum on Lil Beginnings, and if you frequent Facebook, sign up for CDE4VSE, PNW Recreational Trail Driving Guide, and other driving groups.

If you are within a reasonable distance from Long Beach, we're having a beach drivers' weekend August 23-25, camping at the Peninsula Saddle Club and driving on the beach at low tide. We have a GREAT time!

Getting back to your initial question, the real question is what CAN'T you do with a mini? You can do everything but ride.
    They're not miniatures, they're concentrates.

Here's one VSE in a CDE

Sammy at Gladstone. He's in his late teens and has quite a following.
