Default Update Post #13 Remember those Connemara weanlings we imported in '12?

...they're growing up! All three attended the Upperville Colt & Horse Show this past weekend! Their first show, and our first time at Upperville (long haul from Georgia).

Here are pics from when they arrived: September 2012

Here they are now: June 2013

I had visions of being 'that' person with the loose pony galloping through the show grounds, but they were AWESOME! So proud of them!

Thanks propspony. When you stare at them everyday it's hard to see how far they've come. Now that I look back on their photos from last fall, it's evident how much they've changed!

I'll have to work on that We weren't able to shoot any at Upperville because each of us were either showing, or ringside holding multiple ponies

I've tried to get some of the boys, but all the want to do is gallop around and jump on one another I will see if I can accomplish something this weekend!

I love the one picture after they first arrived where it looks like they're all thinking: "Wow! Look at all of this SUN!!!"

(and I just want to take the filly home and snuggle on her. She's adorable)

Haha, if I took a picture of them to today, they'd be thinking "Someone buy us a ticket back to Ireland, we're melting!"

By request, I took some video of the colts this weekend. I'll have to get video of the filly next time at my mom's farm.

I thought some of you might enjoy seeing how the scraggly weanlings that we brought over in September of 2012 are coming along. We still have all three, the two colts and the filly. We'd been playing with them in the jump chute at home, and now I've heard that Chatt Hills is having one of the Young Horse Shows so I think we might enter them there.
