You can message the Goodwill Store on that listing and ask questions. I've done it often since I learned about shop goodwill.com on Coth. Most of the people at goodwill are not horse people, so you should ask them about horse items.
Or call the store and ask them.
I've always gotten prompt answers from them, within a day or so, but with the weekend here, you might want to call the store instead of message them. Make sure you give them the item # when you call.
If you think this tack is bid up high, look at some of the Chanel items that go up into the 300-500 range. I bought a beautiful burberry shearling vest for several hundred dollars, and it's worth much more and is beautiful.
One thing to watch on ShopGoodwill--shipping! Some of them are astronomical. I've started not bidding, unless it REALLY is unusual, on anything from San Diego County as they spend a fortune to ship and don't offer less expensive options.
I would definitely call the seller on that one to ask what the leather feels like....
