    Default Easy to apply sunscreen

After a series of plain bays, my new guy is a lovely chromed out chestnut- with a pink nose that is already suffering from the midwest sun. I've ordered him a long nose flymask but I'm thinking sunscreen is a good as well. Trainer and barn staff are very nice about things like this but I'd like something easy to apply.

    Ideas? Suggestions?

I just use a high SPF waterproof lotion-with a cookie at application.

I like the aerosols that go on dry.

deltawave- like the kid ones? He's pretty easy to convince anything is cool if it involves getting a peppermint stick at the end.

I think I'm going aerosol this year. Sounds like a brilliant, long overdue idea.

They sell it for grownups, too, but yeah--the spray cans. I like how they feel and they're very fast to go on. My pink-nosed pinto is horribly offended by sprays on his face, so I have to spray it on a towel and wipe it on. That works, too.

She accepts sprays all the way up her neck to her ears but no further. Love love love those dry-spray sunscreens.

lol...I have a four year old so generally think of the kid-focused items first Thanks for the suggestion! The Army's moving us down to Texas later this summer so I wanted to work something out before we moved.

My friend has this stuff for her horse with a pink nose, http://www.myponysunblock.com. It is a powder and you just basically use a puff to apply it.

I had some stuff which was blue, and was zinc oxide, I think it was by Ocean Potion. FUN! My arab had white nose and chin, 4 TALL stockings too, chestnut, and he didn't mind spray-on or lotion. All was high spf, and water proof. Have to apply each day. But a long nose on a fly mask is a good thing.

If it gets sun burned put diaper rash stuff on it. He did mind anything on it when it was sunburned and chapped. I tried to not let that happen. But it happens.

I use a zinc oxcide cream, diaper rash cream, stays on well, pretty water resistant. I apply once a day.
