Default Anglo Trakehner Mare in Western Washington State

    I saw this on Craiglist.

I owned this mare a few years ago, gave her to a breeder friend.
I am obviously worried about a bad ending.
While I owned her, I took her to an Oldenburg (GOV) inspection and she was entered into the Main Mare Book.

This is a video clip of her then:

I bred her to Edelweiss de Bonce, this is the resulting filly:

This filly is very athletic and shows talent for cross country/jumping.

The pedigree of the mare is here:

Please note she is a great-granddaughter of Cornau, one of the greatest mares in the Trakehner breed and dam of the legendary stallion Consul.
I have no place for any more horses but am willing to pay to have her euthanized if a good home cannot be found. She is a very easy keeper.
    Please spread the word.

Good of you to care about her. Can you take her temporarily till maybe someone in the area on Coth will take her?

Is she sound? Age, etc? Oops 15 yrs old. Not very old at all and probably not barren.

Can't take her as we board. But one of us is an ATA and wants her to end up in a good place.

Good luck! Probably barren now and the owner is giving her away? Old broodmares should get to retire. And if they are sound, they are very good riding horses.

    Very good looking mare!

It would be very hard for me to take her back, due to space problems.
She should be OK to breed, I did not have any problem getting her in foal, one shipment, one insemination, done ! She foaled right on cue in the middle of the day, with everybody in attendance, did not need any help though.
I don't think the present owner tried to breed her, she went through some personal hard times and it seems like she is getting rid of most of her horses.
I was told there are several others on Craig's List.
Someone should want this girl, her dam line is truly outstanding.
