    Update. Doug is in open heart surgery right now. It has been a battle to get him here, and we are hoping for the very best of outcomes. He has less than a 50% chance of surviving the surgery - but 2 weeks ago, he was at 1% - so he's a fighter and we will take that improvement. He was coherent and knows what is going on.

    I haven't seen this before now. I add my fervent prayers that the next post will be the surgery is successful and he is in recovery. My husband would have been 64 this year. God bless you and hold you in his arms.
