I was at that event taking pictures and have a few close ups of the bit, but what I will honestly say is this; Jessie's rounds on all her horses were absolutely beautiful (she had 4 or 5 in the intermediate) and they were all looking soft, relaxed and jumping the moon. Whatever she is using, it worked well for her. He went beautifully and she rode him beautifully.

I'd rather see a rider being softer with more bit than a rider yanking on a horse who isn't listening in a snaffle.

Absolutely! And FWIW--I'm glad she bit him up and it is working for her.

He is a freight train on XC.

He's a lot of horse! But man is he beautiful and amazing.

If you recall this is the horse she was Suspended on for going too fast. That horse just locks on and goes, youtube him and you'll see before you judge the bit in his mouth.

Jess prefers the more stronger rides, majority of her horses on XC run in loose ring snaffles because she likes those rides... obviously Rotti is way stronger and needs that little bit more to whoa him.
