    Default Samshield Black Leather Floral Helmet-Over the Top for Hunters?

    Hi,
    I am thinking about getting a Samshield black helmet with the black leather floral top and black matt trim however, I ride in the hunters and am wondering if it is too over-the-top for hunter classes. It would be all black on black and no silver chrome; just black matt and black chrome trim. I think it is tasteful, but I don't think anyone would characterize it as conservative. Don't want to be marked down in a class for inappropriate attire.

    Any opinions?

    If it is, then it would be fine. There is no way you would notice that while riding.

    Yes, thank you so much for posting the link!-I should have done that in my post. If the stripe was just on the top and stopped at the back of the crown, I wouldn't hesitate to get it because I really like the black embossed leather, but the Samshield trims widen into a huge swath that covers almost the entire helmet in the back. That is what I thought might be too much for hunter classes. Here are some images that I should have posted before. There are several pictures here. There is one that shows the back-but please ignore the custom crystal trim (I would never consider that) the one I would get would not have any crystals or silver chrome. Just all black on black.

    Compared to a more plain Samshield, I don't like it one bit but don't think it is inappropriate for hunter. If you like it.

    I think it is actually a couple hundred less than that. The one pictured has swarovski crystals on it-ahahah. The crystal thing is not for me. It would still be a horrid amount of money I suppose. But I do like the Samshield helmets and people who own them seem to love them.

    Well, I like the plain ones too. I certainly wouldn't have any buyer's remorse if I got a plain one.

    I personally like it.

    I also will say that my Samshield is absolutely the best helmet I've ever worn. I have the Shadow Matte ($395), but even if it were $900, I don't think I'd hesitate to buy another one—I like it that much.

    Hee-They're pretty for sure, but more flashy and I think maybe more suitable for Dressage or Jumpers.

    I think it's nice. Would like to see it in person. I unfortunately do not fit into a Samshield because of head shape anyway.

    I don't think it would be too much for the hunters.

    I think that's Madeline's way of saying she doesn't care for the helmet. But she doesn't seem to like much of anything, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

    Actually I thought it was fine until I saw the pic from the back...I still think it is probably okay, but it is a little more distracting from that angle. I understand your reservations.
