Default Samshield Black Leather Floral Helmet-Over the Top for Hunters?

    Hi,
I am thinking about getting a Samshield black helmet with the black leather floral top and black matt trim however, I ride in the hunters and am wondering if it is too over-the-top for hunter classes. It would be all black on black and no silver chrome; just black matt and black chrome trim. I think it is tasteful, but I don't think anyone would characterize it as conservative. Don't want to be marked down in a class for inappropriate attire.

    Any opinions?
    Thank you!

I saw "floral helmet" and immediately thought no way. But is this it? http://www.tailoredequestrian.com/sa...m-flowers.html

If it is, then it would be fine. There is no way you would notice that while riding.

Yes, thank you so much for posting the link!-I should have done that in my post. If the stripe was just on the top and stopped at the back of the crown, I wouldn't hesitate to get it because I really like the black embossed leather, but the Samshield trims widen into a huge swath that covers almost the entire helmet in the back. That is what I thought might be too much for hunter classes. Here are some images that I should have posted before. There are several pictures here. There is one that shows the back-but please ignore the custom crystal trim (I would never consider that) the one I would get would not have any crystals or silver chrome. Just all black on black.
    Thanks!

Compared to a more plain Samshield, I don't like it one bit but don't think it is inappropriate for hunter. If you like it.

I think it is actually a couple hundred less than that. The one pictured has swarovski crystals on it-ahahah. The crystal thing is not for me. It would still be a horrid amount of money I suppose. But I do like the Samshield helmets and people who own them seem to love them.

Well, I like the plain ones too. I certainly wouldn't have any buyer's remorse if I got a plain one.
    Thanks!

    I personally like it.

I also will say that my Samshield is absolutely the best helmet I've ever worn. I have the Shadow Matte ($395), but even if it were $900, I don't think I'd hesitate to buy another one—I like it that much.

Thanks! Nice to hear how much you like it. That is what I have heard from others too.

Hee-They're pretty for sure, but more flashy and I think maybe more suitable for Dressage or Jumpers.

I think it's nice. Would like to see it in person. I unfortunately do not fit into a Samshield because of head shape anyway.

I don't think it would be too much for the hunters.

Well, I guess you have put your finger on the problem here. I have to see one.

I think that's Madeline's way of saying she doesn't care for the helmet. But she doesn't seem to like much of anything, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

Actually I thought it was fine until I saw the pic from the back...I still think it is probably okay, but it is a little more distracting from that angle. I understand your reservations.
