Keeping maiden name update thread (and wedding photos)!
I couldn't find my thread from the last OT day, where I was trying to figure out whether to change my name when I got married or to keep it, so started a new one.
Got married on Thursday, had dreadful weather (severe thunderstorms) but it was a perfect day!! I did decide to keep my maiden name because I felt pretty strongly about it, and I really appreciate the advice of all the COTHers who posted on my thread, PMed me, or e-mailed me to talk to me about it and talk to me about wedding stuff! Everything went as I could have hoped - with one blooper in the service that made me laugh so hard that I almost couldn't stand up: the minister, after marrying us, announced that she was presenting the married couple of Mr. Supershorty and then accidentally said my maid of honor's name, so I handed her my bouquet and pushed her front and center. It was so funny and will definitely be a moment to remember!
I'm putting a link to photos here.. Facebook claims it will work even for people who do not have a Facebook, but we'll see how well that goes.
Your pics are LOVELY and what a wonderful (memorable!) event in the thunderstorms! Your husband is very handsome and you two look so happy! Your dress is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the pictures of such a great day!
LOL, that had to be hilarious! And holy cow...awesome photos! Your gown is GORGEOUS and looks fantastic on you! Beautiful cake, rings, reception, party! Congrats! And rain on your wedding is good luck!

Beautiful! Thanks for sharing! I love weddings: even though mine was two years ago it still seems like I've got wedding-brain. Good thing we have a bunch to go to this year! Congratulations and many happy years together!

LOVE the pictures!! You look absolutely radiant. Love does that.
I was married during a tropical storm - fortunately, I am crazy about storms LOL! However, it forced us to be married indoors, instead of on the beach - but you know what? I married the love of my life, and it appears that you did as well!
Have a lovely marriage!!
