The first and definitely foremost for me is my Mom. I still miss her so much every day that it hurts, even after 2 1/2 years. She was my very, very best friend.

    Also in memorium to:
Uncle Kevin- who took his own life 2 weeks ago
    Grandpa John
Bruce- an excellent equine mentor and even better boss and friend

And those family members who were gone before I was born but are not forgotten

    Grandma Jo
    Grandpa Terry

    And my beloved childhood pets-
    Darcey

My dad, a hero to everyone in the world until the last day.
My sister, Joy- without her, I am not me.
Grandpa Jack, he could be terrifying and loving all at once.

Shultzi- longest weener dog of them all <3
On Tuesday, it will be my 15 year old Presa, Anna. Her hips hurt too bad. I'll miss her.

    My Mom:
Elizabeth Margaret Nielsen (went "Dancing" Sept. 2/08)
Happy early Birthday on May 27 to my cherished 12th Rose
    I'll love you f♥rever too.

    Lily (a little stray kitten)
My heartless cat-hating father would not allow her even one night's shelter. She froze to death under my mom's car. I was only eight and I did not know it was possible to freeze to death. She has haunted me all my life and will to my dying breath. I grieve her now just as much as it happened today. One day, I will apologize with all my soul to her little face. She may forgive me. God may forgive me for not defying my father and sneaking her back in. I NEVER will. Bask in the never ending warmth of God's love, sweet Lily!

My treasured animals. I could look into the eyes of each one and without lying, say to them, "I love you most of all above all the others because of this about you..."

Canary: Ringo - the first animal who loved me back

Cats: Cuddles, Selina and her kittens, Penny Comfort & Shadow. MOST OF ALL: Silver Charmer (Russian Blue) saint of a cat who loved and welcomed anyone who came into his home. I lost him to cancer on March 2, 2012. Silver was/is the the love of my life. I would rather have lost ANYONE other than him.

Dogs: Honey and her daughter, Sunshine.

Horse: The best flaxen chestnut Morab ever, Mandy. She taught me so much and was so forgiving of my mistakes.

My uncles, Bob and Roy. Both were in WWII and survived. During DDay, Uncle Roy got shot through his helmet but not his head. He left the helmet to his son when he died.

All four grandparents, who I never had a chance to know. Grandpa on my dad's side was in WWII. All four were born before 1900. That is pretty amazing, considering I'm only 44.

Animals make me sad to list, so I will stick to the humans. I'm very lucky that my family is all happy, healthy and sound.
