    Default Saumur 2013

Have you seen the course? Yikes...scary. The bluberry jump? Just wow.

The Americans are doing well so far in dressage. Good on them!

Pleased for HSB indeed! That should set her up well over the next few days. I wonder how ML's shoulder is doing, as it hasn't been that long since her fall for such a serious injury. Tomorrow should be interesting complete with more Andrew Nicholson on Viscount George who he won a 3* at Chatsworth with a couple of weeks ago. Actually I had a bit of a look to see who was whohttp://outsidethehorsebox.com/whos-l...ood-for-saumur. Some of the Brits look good, as well as AN, of course, and HSB and ML. I hope there are videos of cross country. I think last year or maybe the year before there was even streaming of XC.

That will take some riding! But I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a bunch of grapes like from a vineyard. I agree though, they look more like blueberries than grapes!

The dressage scores so far are not good. I expect we'll see some nice ones tomorrow with AN and Nicholas Touzaint. And Buck Davidson and Will Faudree.

I am not that well versed in international events, I assume this is in France?
SCARY looking jumps! Cross country will be very exciting.
Is there any place to watch on line?

Yup! South-west of Paris. Here's the website http://www.saumur.org/cci/accueil-gb.html. This website http://www.equidiawatch.fr had streaming a few years ago, but as I don't speak French I can't quite work out if it's going to be on this year.

Default Correct link for live streaming

Got the correct address for live streaming. It's http://live.datanaute.com/saumur-2013/ and starts for the 3-star XC tomorrow afternoon French time. There is also a link off of the main Saumur 3-star page.

I love how they have their website set up for results. Click on the rider's name and the horse's breeding comes up. There are no German riders at Saumur. That may well be why there are only 4 riders with dressage scores over 69%. Or it might just be a tough Ground Jury.

They didn't looked dressed yet in the pictures....always makes them look a bit more scary. Hardest thing to get a feel for is the ground....any one know how it is there?

I agree with BFNE those look like nekkid jump pictures. I spooked at those grapes nekkid or not, that's just strange looking!

Best to all the US riders tomorrow! Go Team USA!

I hope the horses see the "vine" (rail) above the grapes! I'm worried about horse falls with the grapes so much brighter.

Bill Levett is one of the riders that contributes his blog to my site. His first Saumur update just said the ground would be fine as long as they didn't get a lot more rain. http://outsidethehorsebox.com/saumur...mmys-dressage/.

Wonderful live video, I have been watching from the start. Great rides, only a couple of stops. Hanna Sue had one, and was over the time, Lots of frenchmen.
Andrew .. Great ride, Marilyn had an awesome clear round, LOVE smoke on the water!

Buck eliminated at a corner. Jumped, but it was determined most of his horse was outside the flag. The review confirmed he took the flag down and his horse's head was to the outside of the flag, forcing it to fall over the fence. He kept going until he was stopped a few fences later. Too bad.

really suprised Buck did not realize he did not clear it or that it might be a question- on the video it does not look like even a close call that that flag was never on the correct side of the horse
Must not have felt like it looks

I'd love to see head on footage because I agree....did not remotely look like a close call. He appeared very off to the left and horse didn't even really jump.
