Hey, you are just being mean! My Ford only needed towing one time, after the deer smashed into the front end, took out the radiator!
Never left me any other time, and we owned it for 21 years, almost 300,000 miles of fun times! Loved that truck, but husband said truck was dying, so he had to go. Replacement Nissan UD truck was a super bargin we found, or I would have gotten another Ford truck.
Neither one of my Fords has ever been hooked up to a tow truck and one of them will be turning 300k miles soon. Now my best friend's Dodge on the other hand, I've been called to pick up her trailer a couple times when she's had to drop it on the side of the road so they could tow her truck off.

2 Ram pickups in this household. Husband is a mechanic and swears by Ram.
Mine too! He is head mechanic/foreman for a gov't agency substation and works on their fleet.He is always going to special trainings for working on Fords, which is good beause the Fords (that they stil have) are ALWAYS in the shop so joked about plenty! Of course, these trucks are HARD USED - we are not talking about easy freeway miles. But he is for sure a Ram guy (except the 2010s and 2011s).
My stepson is making a very good living selling kits to convert Powerstrokes to Cummins - people are VERY enthusiastic about that!
I'm on my 3rd Ford Truck in 30 years. Never had to have any of them towed.You couldn't give me a Ram.
You know, to the person pimping their Ram you can take that Ram and well, ram it. I will forever be a devotee of the 7.3L Navistar diesel that all of my FORD trucks have had. I'd rather have the Banks Turbo on it that my first one had, but the Powerstroke does the job and I'm not racing, I'm towing.
I've driven a Ram diesel for one of my jobs and they SUCK for comfort level. And that's just getting started because I have to rush out the door right now. I'd let someone give me one only so I could sell it and move on to something better.
I know a Ram devotee who just crossed over to Ford after many, many years of owning nothing but Chrysler products and he had many arguments with me as to their virtues...tells me what I need to know!
Oh, shoot, it's a funny picture. But my '98 F-250, gas powered, is closing in on 200k miles and knock wood, no need to tow yet! Original transmission btw.
I'm sorry to say all of my friends with Rams (70s to present) have had trouble!
My original F350 crew cab 7.3L diesel made it to 325,000 miles before it needed an injector job and a new clutch. Yeah, that was the original clutch, and the first 224,000 miles were hard-hauling miles by doing professional horse hauling through the mountains out west. My only complaint was that Ford came up with their own turbo charger and didn't leave it to the real pro, Banks of California. Had a Banks Sidewinder turbo on that truck and it was all that and a bag of chips.
