I saw some pictures on Facebook last night that looked pretty darn bad, but I guess the storm went through after the show had finished for the day. Devon is notorious for bad weather that seems to come out of nowhere, but I hope their luck holds.
The show had to stop when the rain got so bad that the main driveway flooded. Once the rain stopped and storm drain was unclogged, the lake dissipated and showing resumed.
This morning, it was cold, windy and rainy. Miserable.
So i'm not imagining it! Like I said above, I'm pretty darn sure I watched most of the hunters last year. They at least could show the big eq championship class from today
Shownet streamed (although not for free) last year, but it doesn't look like they are there this year. However I was charged $25 on my entry for "online video service fee" this year, so I don't know if that's for USEF network or something else.
OK this is so cute... there's some little kid that must be sitting next to the USEF network camera making the most adorable comments in his/her cute little voice with the parents chiming in every so often.... LOVE it
Isn't she adorable? I just heard her dad call her Amy and she was very upset with the first rail down--"he breaked it!" This so reminds me of the mistake I made taking my daughter to her first Grand Prix when she was five...it was a VERY expensive Grand Prix!
1) I'm stuck at home watching because I am taking a summer class and I have a midterm Tuesday and I'm volunteering all day tomorrow so it's so nice to have the live feed!
2) I think the kid is leaving soon...I have the sound on so I can watch when it is someone I know/or the horse's name sounds cool and the Dad just said they would leave after Ashley Foster
3) I thank goodness that I am old and therefore if I am showing at Devon at this point in my life I will NOT be showing with the Junior Weekend crowds. I haven't gone for junior weekend in four years I forgot how packed it was!
