Wow, came back to check on this thread, and so impressed and thrilled to see people have come together to help get this horse out! I would be willing to donate $100, maybe more if needed, to the cause.

    Excellent!! Thank you so much!

    That makes it:

    Me - $50
    Anonymous 1 (who PM'd Noctis) - $100
    FleabittenGray - $100

Who else can help bail this poor little guy?

I've got $50 bucks right now. I don't want to get in a bidding war though, so unless we have some weird suspicion our $250 guy is a kill buyer, see if he takes the horse. I just want him somewhere that he's going to get some groceries and a little TLC. If that's with me, awesome. If not, awesome too!

OK, cool. What I'm hoping is that enough people step in w/ cash so that any overage from purchase price can be used for transport, vet bills, etc.

We do have a couple of other potential homes locally to Nashville that I don't think we are going to hear back from until tomorrow, but in the meantime, let's figure out how much we have to work with for purchase price, vet visit (I do think Noctis' idea of taking him straight to the vet is a good one), gas/transport, etc. Many thanks y'all!

Come on peeps, all we need is $200 to beat the other buyer's price! (And we do still need someone w/ a trailer.)
Yes but if we do not have a local home do we want to compete with someone who is probably local and hopefully a soft landing?

I'll contribute $25. Should it be sent via Paypal and to whom?

Sketcher - There *are* two local homes that *may* be interested but unfortunately they won't be able to let us know for sure until tomorrow - both are contingent on barn owner approval.

P4 - No, we're not Paypal'ing anything yet, just trying to see how much we have available for purchase and expenses, and hoping someone steps up w/ a trailer who can get him to the vet clinic and then to either you to hold until he transports to Arrows Endure in FL, or to a local adopter if any steps up. Thanks!

    OK, so now it's:

    War Admiral - $50
    Anonymous1 - $100
    FleabittenGray - $100
    wcporter - $30
    St Germain - $50
    Pony4Me - $100

So $430 if my math is correct - big "if" LOL! That means we can outbid tomorrow's other buyer by $50 (does that sound reasonable to everyone?) and have $130 for vet & gas if we can find someone w/ a trailer. Could definitely use more in case we need to get him down to Arrows Endure. Obviously you are NOT being asked to actually Paypal that yet - just need to know how much we can mush together if we need to. Transport from Nashville to Jacksonville won't be cheap.

    Many thanks!

Excellent, thank you!! No, not yet - just trying to get a headcount & see how much we have *available* for purchase, vet bills & transport. Noctis is broke and I'm broker so if this gets done it will *have* to be by your kind donations!

OK, yay, we now have local transport and a place for ponyboy to crash while he waits for his Coggins to come through so he can move either south to Arrows Endure or to one of the two interested parties locally that may or may not show up tomorrow.

    Thank you LaraAndSpeedy!

I am now off to bed myself - Noctis and LaraAndSpeedy will coordinate schedules for purchase/pickup & we will let everyone know tomorrow what Paypal address to use.

    Does that work for everybody?
