    Interesting.

Not that I am out to watch it, but interesting.

Been watching. Lots of horses killed, lots of horse hurt. I heard the name "Dr. Orr" mentioned. I think he was the owner of the horses.

Looking for more information and updates.

I don't want to watch horses being hurt or killed, but CNN just showed three horses standing amidst a ton of damage near a leveled barn. You couldn't even tell it was a barn.

Unfortunately two schools full of children were also leveled.

Prayers up for humans and animals alike.

I heard the name "Moore Farm" mentioned. 75-100 horses killed.

ALAGIRL, this is a very serious situation, stop trying to turn it into a train wreck right up front! Shame on you.

Horses are dead, horses are seriously hurt, some enough they shall have to be put down.

The video was live streaming the utter destruction of the farm & vicinity. The farm owner stated employees are all okay, but the horses...it is devistating.

Heard on one station that over 75 horses were killed and more will have to be put down. The farm they say is Orr (or maybe Moore?) family farm.
Horrible as that is Im more worried about the two schools destroyed with children in them

CNN had a shot of a stable and two horses were being held on leads. It was in the distance, but both horses were standing with a rear leg held well up off the ground. Very scary and sad.

The news focus switched to a very disturbing account of kids in an elementary school -- hope they are okay.

Live interview of a groom now.

Lando, an excercise rider, lived in barn. Lost everything.

    This farm is literally leveled.

OMG. A worker at the farm said that almost all the horses (80) died. It sounds/look like it was a race farm.

Having been through an EF5 tornado that leveled my boarding barn 2 years ago my heart goes out to anyone in the tornado's path. The pictures are devistating but can't even begin to illustrate how bad it really is.

I can still remember the hopeless feeling of watching the horses struggle to live and get to safety. And the bleak mood of the survivors huddled together in belly deep water. We didn't have trailers, first aid equipment, or even halters.

Since we are under a tornado watch right now, I'd like to ask if anyone knows which is best for your horses in these situations -- in the barn or out? Obviously, if the barn takes a direct hit, in the barn is terrible. But, I worry, too, about flying debris and just don't know which is higher risk. Southern Yankee, what do you think? In or out?

Horrible! Horrible! Orr Family Farms is a wonderful place! Animals well cared for and a beautiful place for kids to learn about animal care. Seeing those horses obviously in distress and watching owners looking for their horses just rips at my heart. The Orrs are good people.

Tears and much fear for the children trapped in the schools taking my breath away. Very, very bad memories. Too much. Too much. I'm done.

God, I just can't imagine having the responsibilty for horses in a tornado. Bless you all who do.
