Default ISO: Riding Lessons in Des Moines, Iowa

I have a girlfriend whose daughter took about 6 months worth of Western lessons at a barn about 18-24 months ago. It ended up being more of a show-oriented barn, and they aren't interested in showing, just good, solid horsemanship and riding. Her daughter kind of lost interest in that particular barn, but would REALLY like to start riding again.

Daughter is an INCREDIBLY mature 8 1/2 years old, and has W/T down. Listens well, just wants to be challenged and see actual progression in her lessons. I wish she lived up here, because my barn would be perfect for her!

Any suggestions/recommendations? They are in the heart of DSM, but willing to drive reasonable distance. Thanks!
