Just got a new project pony today, he's in rough shape and will definitely need several months of TLC to get back in a good groove, but there's a lot I like about him. Hoping some of our smart pedigree peeps can tell me about his family-given potential...?
I see a lot of names that I like (and he should jump).....and love how he is put together in his photos. Some TLC and grass and he will be super nice. Just give it some time. He has a great shoulder and nice hind end. His neck will look good once you get his weight up. I got two that looked a lot worse in December and both look like show hunters now.

I have had experience with both a Roberto son & a Relaunch son. Both scopey, effortless jumpers. The Relaunch gelding had 82 starts, retired sound. Super sturdy, huge hocks, strong willed. (I attribute his will with allowing him to survive at the track all those seasons). I would def have another 1 in my barn, & just hope he would be as athletic (& amusing). Good luck with your boy!!
I really like his build as well, especially behind. And nice bone (I hate deer legs, LOL) and nice expression. I'm with Roma, I like big, beefy joints too! Plenty of good names on paper already mentioned. Roberto definitely seems to be one of the ones I have observed, along with Danzig and a couple others, to rather disproportionately reliably pass on great movement and sport ability, like a magic little jumping sperm, ha.
Thanks Didi! I figured the timing was good for both of us...
I gave him a long bath today, fungus shampoo and shortened his mane, he seemed very happy with the grooming and bathing as long as I used the softest brushes. Not so happy with the mane work...I cheated and used thinning shears, he seemed to think they were instruments of torture! Poor guy.
He's brave though, was worried about my dark cross ties, but just put one foot in front of the other and sniffed it out...eventer brain I think
Thanks for all the inputs everyone, I will definitely update with pics as we go!
