    I would totally get a shock collar! He's not "in it to win it" and he just needs a minor remote control to get him to stop. Easy easy easy and much better than getting some corporal punishment before you can stop it. Tie him until you get the collar. I've seen scores of dogs trained off of chasing with a shock collar with no bad effects At All. Don't risk his little life b/c you think there's something bad about a shock collar.

    I'll put in another electric collar vote. The village isn't going to give you the time to work with him.

    Agreed, candysgirl. My friend in Peace Corps was in a similar situation, and the neighbors quietly poisoned her dog.

    remember, a dog off its property, chasing livestock, can be shot on sight in many US states.
