Default Why can't I find a shaped pad to fit?!

I have like 4 shaped pads and none of them fit perfectly like I see so many other girls shows! I just like the look. I don't need it for shows, but I'd like to have it for clinics and lessons! Do I have to spend a fortune on a nice pad to get one to fit my regular 17" saddle?

I know the pain! I have to have a slightly forward and short flap and things are either too straight or come with a forward option but are really expensive and either way are generally too long. I hate spending that much on a pad, granted I would be showing in mine. And I don't want to buy one online and not have it work and have to send it back, but the tack store is a ways away from me too. But that's one thing I would rather take my saddle in and try!

There was a thread on this company a week or so ago: http://www.equinelux.com/

I contacted them, as I have a long and forward flap 17.5" saddle that I can't get any shaped pad to fit (I show hunters). They were willing to make one to measure for the same price as the standard size.

My friend just got one and I tried it on my saddle today - doesn't quite fit, but she has the same saddle in a regular flap and it's perfect. Looks to be great quality and a very nice pad. She's got the black-and-white "domino" shaped hunter pad.
I've spent most of my life riding horses. The rest I've just wasted.

I had this problem until I finally sucked it up and spent the money to get an EcoGold hunter pad. I love it. Definitely worth the money. I use it for schooling over a baby pad and at shows. Highly recommend it! Smart Pak's customer service is fabulous, so if it doesn't fit they will be more than helpful when working with you to find one that does.

And, for a slightly cheaper version of basically the same pad: http://www.smartpakequine.com/succes...x?cm_vc=Search

    I LOVE this pad.
