    Default Ordering Shadbelly Points

    Hi guys!!

After a long hunt on eBay, I finally found Grand Prix hunter shadbelly in my size at a reasonable price. Bad news, it did not come with points. I have searched eBay and googled buying GP shadbelly points with no real luck. Anyone have any leads on where or who I could contact to order shadbelly points for a Grand Prix shad? Or even a custom maker who could make some to fit the jacket?

    Thanks!

I would check with Horse Country in VA, Malvern Saddlery in Pa and Farmhouse Tack in SC. One of those should be able to help or direct you to where you should try. You might try Hadfields as well.

Farm house will have them. They always have them with them at the horse shows.

That's who I was going to recommend! She does a lot of points for saddle seat so you'll see some colors and patterns you don't want to touch for your purposes on her site, but she can do them for you, too. I have a stock tie which I just absolutely *love*...

They're actually really easy to make if you can use a sewing machine. Head over to JoAnn Fabrics or Calico Corners and pick out some material and get some iron-on interfacing.

I made 25 to 30 and was going to sell them, but then I realized each shad has custom buttonhole spacing and it wasn't practical to lug my sewing machine to horse shows and make people's buttonholes on the spot. :-)

Or, funny, enough, check with Dameron who is making them for spicytails...

    Default Shadbelly vest points

Spicy Tails has their own line of shadbelly points designed by Dameron. The fabrics are chosen for hunter derby riders. Check out both sites, the cost is the same.

You can go to any Grand Prix Dealer and order points, some stores even carry them.

Does anyone ever wear an actual vest anymore?
