Read an old article about telling a horses age and here is a new one on me.
"After a horse is 9 years old , a wrinkle appears at the corner of the lower lid ad every year after he has one well defined wrinkle for each year of his age over nine. If for instance he has three wrinkles his age is 12, if four the horse is 13."
For those of you that have horses over 9 can you go look into your horses eyes and see if this is true or a tall tale. Pics too if you can.
I never noticed the wrinkles never even thought to look.
I must stop asking "How stupid can you be?" rhetorically.
Some people are starting to see it as a challenge.
Got a 30-something with TWO whorls, side by side. Maybe that's why he's lived so long? Now I have to check his wrinkles!
I've always been told that 2 hair whorls side x side signified a talented by super quirky critter. We've got THREE beasties with this phenom and all 3 prove the old wives tale to be true. Our Connie X mare's mom had 2 hair whorls, as well. On her bad days just put her back in the field...on her good days, nothing was ever better!
