I'm on the hunt for someone who may make custom dressage whips. I don't even know where to start as I'm usually all about the hunters, but my favorite trainer is leaving and she's mainly a dressage instructor. I want to get her a really nice dressage whip with a little custom flair so she'll remember me when she breaks it out! If anyone even knows if these are made I'd love to know! If they don't, let me know I'm out of luck? Thank you!
Call Westfield whip company in Massachusetts (wholesalers) and see who sells their whips locally. They are one of the only whip makers throughout the would at this point. You can get any color (white/green/brown/black/burgany/navy) and any length. Dressage/driving/in-hand/lunge. And the prices are reasonable!!!
I had the most fabulous longe whip. It was so fabulous someone took it.
Anyway it was a telescoping bamboo longe whip, very well balanced and it could reach a horse way out on a line. I loved that damn thing and wish they still made them. This was about 38 yrs ago. If anyone sees this whip in a magazine or knows of anyone that makes them please let me know.
