Default Major show/events in the Wisconsin area?

I might be heading out to Wisconsin in the future and was wondering what horsey events/major shows/fair you guys would suggest? I'm open to travelling too - Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, North Dakota, South Dakota are all options.

I haven't picked a time yet, but it would likely be in the spring/summer/early fall months.

Thanks so much for your help!

    Everyone always forgets Minnesnowta.

Ledges & Lamplight in northern IL always have great shows.
Definitely the MN Horse Expo and MN State Fair in St. Paul.
Otter Creek in west central WI always puts on 3-day events and goes up to **. Silverwood Farms in southern WI usually puts on some great events/shows. Nothing big, but the atmosphere is relaxed if you're looking for something more low key.

Oops! I'm Canadian, so please forgive me!

As for discipline - I'm mainly a pleasure rider so I am open to seeing just about anything! Rodeos, big western shows, 3 day events, dressage, whatever! As long as it has horses, I'm there!

Thanks for the suggestions so far. Keep them coming!

Just visiting! I haven't picked an exact date - it's in the early planning stages so I can kind of plan aroun the event(s) I want to go to. Anything from April through to October!

I know I'm being super vague! lol sorry

The Pepsi All-Wisconsin Draft Horse show at the Central Wisconsin state fair http://www.centralwisconsinstatefair.com/ is a lot of fun. I used to show my draft gelding at it before he passed away a couple of years ago. Unfortunately I don't think there's a lot else going on in that part of Wisonsin, though.
