    Default Trail Rides in NoVA?

Anyone know of a place that offers guided trail rides? My horsey connections in NoVA are just owners who don't really know of anywhere to trail ride without having your own horse.

My boyfriend really wants to go on a trail ride this summer so I told him I'd try to find a place. He's not an experienced rider so I'm looking for a place that would be able to accomodate a beginner.

    Suggestions?

My sister took her granddaughter to Highlander Horses out by Front Royal a few years ago and had a great time! It was just the two of them with a guide. Other places to look into are Fort Valley Ranch (also out by Front Royal - just west of there), Secret Passage, and maybe JBit Ranch.

There's also Marriott Ranch out between Hume and Linden. Great scenery, and they had nice horses, at least when I worked there quite a few years ago as a guide:

Here's a listing of places you can research (includes links to Highlander Horses, Fort Valley Ranch, Secret Passage, and JBit):

I do this sometimes, though I send people to Marriott if I can't accommodate (size, timing, numbers.)

^This is good to know! I want to bring my DD out for a nice ride fairly soon. I just need to save up a little and we will be making arrangements. I've heard nothing but praise for your place from other COTHers!

Fort Valley Ranch offers trail rides- I've heard nothing but good things about them.
