Default How do you think Pimlico will run?

Just for fun here, Not a race wise person, but always follow the big one.
Just wondering how folks think the first five finishers will Run at the Preakness in 2 weeks? Probably a faster track, with any luck. I can't help wonder about the pace setter.. He was a machine, Was that Mikes mount? And the horse Gary Stevens rode, He ran out of gas but was going great for quite a while.
Did the Mud burn them out? And how will they perform on a drier track. I also am anxious to see Normandy Invasion on a different surface. I mean that had to have a huge effect on the ones that have not run on a mud track?
Care to Speculate? Just for fun.

Not all of them are going to the Preakness. Only a couple are going

Pimlico is the track so won't be running at all! Pimlico is renowned for tight turns but as someone who was stabled there for years I think it is a bit of an optical illusion. It is very narrow from inside rail to outside rail however. Maybe it is wishful thinking but I think it is a race for second. I expect Mylute to run a huge race.

The Pimlico myth Just a few articles calling shenanigans on it

As for Normandy Invasion, no Maryland stop, but look for him at Belmont.

Gary Stevens could be seen at the Preakness as DWL will run both his horses back. None of the Pletcher runners in the Derby - including the suicidal pace set by Mike Smith on Palace - will be back for the Preakness.
