My kitties are very well behaved, but one of them has a penchant for chewing plastic. Unfortunately he found a corner of the carpet where it meets the doorframe that was just starting to fray and I think he's chewed it a bit. Right now it's not noticeable, but as I'm in a rental, I need to nip this in the bud. (Oops - no pun intended. The offender's name is Bud.)
What is your favorite spray or other "topping" to deter from chewing?
I have never used one - just kept the offending object away from them. I have one cat that LOVES flowers - real, fake, doesn't matter. When I get flowers, I just know they have a limited life span at my house and enjoy them while they still exist! With the silk ones, I just can't have them around as she literally eats them.
As for the carpet issue, I have that, too. For some reason, the cats think it's SOOOOO fun to pull up the carpet! I just put up with it. Making a fuss seems to make them pull at it more. You can also try putting a rug on it. That seemed to deter them until they found out they could pull the rug off the carpet and have at it again!
