Default The weird, weird story of Joseph Meyer
My apologies if this has another thread already started that I may have missed... I don't know any of the key players, but it's in my area and I remember hearing some of this on the news. Anyone have any other details?

I have the same thoughts you do, it's all local to me, but I don't know them. It's a very odd story for sure.

    The rocky part of KY

And now he's moved to Kentucky??? Wonderful.

It's obvious that the man polarizes the people he meets, such as his neighbors. He won't have many obstacles in the way of planning or zoning in many KY counties, the question is will he have any clients.

No worries. He will fit in just fine in Kentucky.

Is this the same Joe Meyers who use to breed Friesian crosses and started his own registry for his stallion's offspring?

Weird, it definitely is. I thought it was odd that on a 113 acre farm, he could only have 17 horses; but then they allow him to have 30 parking spaces? And local horse owners reporting him to PETA? Over HOW he breeds his horses?

Long article, but I was left with more questions than answers. It reminded me of John McAfee for some reason.

The sociopath next door? I always think of that book when I hear about people like this guy. I'm no psychologist but his actions really remind me of descriptions in that book. The main common characteristic of sociopaths, according to the author, was a desire to have people feel sorry for them. So what would make people feel more sorry for this guy, from his point of view, than to believe someone poisoned his horses? Hmmm.
