The property we purchased has a very high water table which causes our stall floors to get very wet in the spring.
I have had great success with 2/10 hardwood board stall floors in the past -using PT 2/4 supporting underneath and gravel screenings between boards.
But that was back in the days when I used straw bedding. Now I use either shavings or watered wood pellets (to create sawdust). I never had problems with the floors being slippery under the straw but I'm wondering how either of these beddings behave on wood.
Does anyone use this set-up? Can someone tell me if they are any more or less slippery than straw? Thank you.
