I just had a post come across my Facebook newsfeed, and I am reposting the info here in hopes that maybe a COTHer (or two) can assist. This is regarding the horse that was on that trailer that is now at animal control. It is a rescue horse that just finished QT and was headed to Florida at the time of the crash here in VA. Folks are trying to figure out how to get it the rest of the way there.

Here is the post, and the link to that thread on the Rescue Rangers Facebook page:

"...There was an accident this morning on I95 involving a horse trailer. Driver passed away. The horse needs to get to its owner in Florida!! It is a rescue horse has been thru QT. Post if you can help on this feed......I am intouch with animal control"

This was George Hennessy, well known and loved driver for many hunter/jumper people on the east coast. RIP George.

FYI, the article was since updated to "confirmed heart attack" before accident.
It's just grass and water till it hits the ground.

I was wondering if at his age something didn't precipitate the crash.

The photographs of such a large vehicle with so little damage did not make a whole lot of sense how that could have caused life threatening injuries.
