Badminton is going to be a heck of a horse race.

FEI is streaming Badminton XC.... not sure of free places - maybe the Badminton website itself?

This is not true. at CCIs (including badminton burghly, luhmuhlen, pau, etc) SJ is always after cross country. And sometimes there are a lot of rails.

I can assure you that show jumping is AFTER cross country at Burghley.

Mea culpa. I thought I saw that, but I think I am confusing the Aachen event that is shown all the time on HRTV with the big ones. It defeats the whole purpose to do show jumping before Cross country.

I would say it's unusual to get to the top 15 with only a single clear SJ round by anyone. Hawley's was only the second clear of the day.

He patted the ground. AN was giving him some good half halts and he responded.

This. And he was *very* clever about it!

Agreed. AN gets credit for clear through the triple, he saw he was a bit flat/long and corrected it perfectly. Total riding lesson.

The BuzzterBrown video posted on Eventing Nation yesterday showed exactly the same thing in the coffin complex, right after Quimbo jumped the ditch. Did one stride with no weight on the right front. Very odd!

Wasn't he the horse the ground jury held during the 1st inspection?

I'm not suggesting that he is lame; but he might have an odd way of going.
