I think Sally's commentary is spot on....and very kind. You can HEAR how much she wants every rider to have a good ride. It wouldn't bother me in the least to have her doing commentary on me while I was riding! During Erin Sylvester's ride, you could hear how much she was hoping the horse would go back to behaving!
As someone who loves watching the sport but has never and likely will never ride a half pass or ask for a flying change (on purpose anyway), Sally O'Conner's Rolex dressage commentary is something I look forward to every year. She really helps me to see things in the horses and riders that I would not otherwise see and in turn that makes the scoring more understandable.
I believe Sally's commentary is the commentary that the spectators in the stadium who rent headsets hear as well.
I spent the morning doing paperwork happily watching-man does dressage make boring paperwork better! Closed the internet for the lunch break, and now it won't work! My productivity has gone WAY down now that I'm troubleshooting. I hope I can make it come back soon-it's been my favorite day of work ever
