Default Misty Kiss at two weeks

Let's not let Rolex and all that fancy four-star stuff distract us from cuteness. We all know that foals are the real superstars of spring.

This is two week-old Misty Kiss waking up from a nap.

    Those are mighty big ears.

Those ears? She'll grow into them. The eyes? LOOK OF EAGLES!

You done good, JER! And I love her name. Reminds me of a line from the song "Stars fell on Alabama" and the entire song, 'Stardust" (Nat King Cole version, of course!) even though it is directly quoted in neither.

I'm glad someone likes it (besides me and Glenbaer).

I'd already decided to give Kiss's foals the last name of Kiss. Glenbaer decided at first glance that her name was Misty, and also suggested some other 'Kiss' names for a proper show name.

But I like Misty Kiss. I know Robby said it sounded like a stripper or worse but this is the daughter of Kissy Kiss. There is a tradition to uphold. Kissy Kiss is a tough broad -- she raced till age 11 -- with a sweet exterior. I'm hoping her daughter turns out to have similar mettle, and hopefully also her sire's jump.

Jesus Christ. I'm clearly going to have to return to riding/these forums to whip you people back into shape. The only thing more stripper than "Misty" is "Misty Kiss." And yet, I love it. And I definitely love the + Kiss naming logic. And I love her ears.

The ears are perfect. Big ears make good jumpers. Love her eyes too. Is she available for hugs?

I seem to be missing something in all these kissy threads - how is this eventing related? Is this foal by a big-name eventing sire or dam or something?

    Well bless your heart.

The mare is an OTTB who was listed through CANTER and posted on this forum on at least two separate occasions to significant interest in her unusual and noteworthy bloodlines.

Not too surprising that posters here remain interested in her and her first (positively adorable!) foal.

Bes Horses asked the same question on the April 11 thread concerning the birth of Kissy Kiss' foal. In basically the same words.

Foal is purpose bred for eventing. Nuff said.
