I just checked weather.com and it said 64 with a 30% chance of showers on XC day. Sounds great to me. However, it will change. I always check Friday night and am prepared for 10 degrees either direction and rain no matter what it says
Actually, our local weather ( I am north of the KHP) is calling for temps in the 30's tonight. I hope that it warms up before WFP's first ride tomorrow morning. Riding an extremely fit event horse in 40 degree weather should make for interesting Thursday morning dressage rides.
The rain has stopped here and the skies are looking a bit brighter.
I looked up the weather on a few different sites and its so noncommittal. And so I went and looked at radar and it appears that Saturday and Sunday there is a lot of green coverage but most of the weather is concentrated south so if a front of pressure area pushes south, it might make it dry and colder I would guess. It says 30% rain chance but on radar it looks like a greater chance. The nighttime lows are very cold for this time of year. All I really care about is being comfortable enough to enjoy Rolex and the ground is dry enough to be safe / sure. It does say though that Friday is supposed to be nice.
My daughter is planning on wearing my Dublins which are waterproof and relatively warm but somewhat too big for her. I told her to walk around in them and make sure they are ok otherwise we will go buy her some rain boots before we go. I just know she is going to wear them for two minutes, say they won't work and try to get me to buy $500 boots at the trade fair. Uh, no.
