do Mclain and Bengtsson j/o for 5th as well, I wonder? Guess we will find out. Either way - 2 Americans in the top 6 and 4 in the top 11, we've definitely come a long way!

I'm a bucket of nerves over here. Go Beezie!! How great would it be to have an American win twice in a row?

I believe Reed also finished 8th or 9th. So that will be 3 in the top 10

Huge congrats to Beezie and her whole crew!

McLain ended up 5th overall. Reed was 10th, Karl Cook 11th.

Seriously, do you think Steve Hadley will EVER get over his crushing disappointment that Steve Guerdat didn't win?

Ugh I couldn't even finish watching that interview! Talk about having a hard time giving Beezie credit for a well earned win. Jesus.

after he shut up it got better, with Beezie's interview and the jo round. Besides, the other guy kind of beat up on him a bit so it was OK. Quite the bromance poor Hadley must have for Guerdat, though...

(and I admit, I do love his announcing in the world cup qualifiers, etc., he's very sharp about the horses, courses and riders over the years, but this was a bit over the top... Just deal with it. We won the WC. Twice. In a row. Europe will probably still be standing tomorrow in spite of it. )

The funereal tone of the interview was really bizarre..

He did give credit to Beezie in the end though , calling her a "class act".

    That was hilarious.

There was a similar tone on a French site about the dastardly way the world had conspired to prevent the French rider from finishing higher on the podium. But that he would surely win next year when the Finals are in France! Too funny.

Meanwhile back to Beezie. Way to execute, team JMS! Now they can afford to buy all new chairs for Clark. And evidently Jeroen Dubbeldam was there to support his former ride. That's class. Also gotta have a shout out for Super Trooper and Nougat, both performing superbly under pressure. And great to see Flexible back to his double clear ways in the Saturday class.

Hadley has always had way too much editorializing going on.

Yes, as if everyone else who competes there is saying,"La, la la, I'm just going for the experience. And the food.
