Seriously. Today is April 20th, and it's snowing like crazy. Again. The snow banks are going to be here for at least another month. It was -9C (16F) when I woke up this morning. The areas that were drifted over with snow all winter are still 2-3 feet deep!
Nice view from your kitchen, all I can see is woods from mine.
Last week we took a drive a little southwest, maybe 100k or so, and there was no snow and the grass was starting to turn green. We don't have any more snow, except for the snowbanks in parking lots and such, but everything is still brown and dull.
Editing to add, that on the plus side, allergies are not so bad this year

It's storming here........again.......and in another hour, I will be stuck in my yard again and have to dig out for the 900th time since October. I am having serious doubts about getting any seeding done, and for that matter, of this whiteshit leaving any time soon - suspect it will not all melt by next winter.

saultgirl, thanks for the post! The title made me laugh out loud over coffee! I'm in northern Canada and have just as bad or worse of a view out of my front window! it's also -9 here and a north wind that makes me want to fly south! Makes me glad to be indoors studying for exams for once.
Y'all will hate me, but I wish I lived in an area that got weather like that! Our snowfall total this year was probably less than 10 inches. I don't love being out in the snow all the time, but I love sitting by the fire with a warm drink and watching it come down, knowing the ponies are tucked in for the night with plenty of hay.
Sounds like we need to arrange some trades on this board - some posters need to trade homes for like a week so the ones missing the snow can spend a week playing around in the white stuff, and the ones craving the sun can come deal with the 'squitos and humidity and things that go along with the hot sunshine and work on their tans. Everyone wins!
