Anyone heard any updates on Richard Donahue, the injured officer? My husband went to VMI with him.

I heard he was hiding a block and a half outside of the perimeter (cite, NBC News).

They got the scum. He's bloody and going to the hospital. Keep him alive, fellas, keep him alive and get some answers. Then pull out his finger nails.

Thanks Lex. I saw he went to VMI at the same time of my husband, brought the picture into my husband and said "Do you know this guy?" and he said, "Yep. Thats Dick Donahue." Then had to inform him he was injured this morning. Hoping he is okay.

I was hoping he'd blow himself up and spare the taxpayers; oh well. Im dying to hear the story of how they actually figured out he was in the boat, and who the homeowner is who lives there. Can you imagine hiding in your house all day long, only to find out the bastard is hiding out in your back yard?

The homeowner said he went to let the dog out and saw something amiss with the boat, put a ladder up to it, unzipped the cover partially, saw blood and a body and darted out of there calling the police.

There is a GoFundMe page raising money for Jeff Bauman, the man who had his legs blown off and identified one of the suspects.. his medical costs are going to be astronomical and I'm sure every little bit helps. Sharing the link for those who wish to donate. I know I did!

Could have ended badly for homeowner and dog. Glad it didn't.

Wow. Many thanks to the combined efforts of so many law enforcement officers from various agencies, the people of Watertown and so many other communities who followed the request to stay in, and the homeowner who reportedly saw blood on the boat and called 911.

I hope that answers will be forthcoming, and that the families of the dead and injured find some comfort in knowing that this has been resolved.

Wow! What a day! No kidding, Renn/ - the suspect apparently shot at the police who followed up. Frugalannie, my thoughts exactly.

NBC just reported that the Transit people told them that Richard Donahue was listed as critical but stable.
