    Default Health certificates w/ coggins

How much do health certificates usually cost if the horse is traveling out of state? Also, how much is a coggins test?

That entirely depends on your vet.

You may want to call him for that information.

Depends on your vet. Best bet is to just call and ask.

I've paid $40-125, depending on who did it and how fast I needed it.

Agreed -- I wait for my vet's annual coggins clinics, as the test is somewhere around $25 then. A health certificate is $30, but I sent it in to NCDA with a $5 and get a 6-month passport card to travel between southern states.

    Default I was recently shocked

to get a bill for 400 for Coggins and health papers for two horses. this is in WA. Seriously, I thought it was out of line. I am all for vets making money, but it really seemed high, especially compared to what I've paid before,

Damn. Hope that total fee included his farm call and steak dinner date for him and his wife.

Around here it's $30 for coggins, 30 day health certs run $20 and the 6 months passport runs $70+.
